How to run a tennis pool
Running a Grand Slam pool with your friends takes about a minute to set up and runs itself from there. Here is the whole thing, start to finish.
- 1
Pick your Slam
Decide which Grand Slam you are playing: the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, or the US Open. Most pools run for whichever major is live or coming up next.
- 2
Choose community or private
Join the free community pool to play alongside everyone, or run a private pool just for your group. A host pays a one-time fee to create a private pool, and everyone invited plays free.
- 3
Create your pool
Set up your pool in a minute: name it and choose a size tier for how many players you expect. You get a link to share the moment it is ready.
- 4
Invite your crew
Send the link to your group. Each person registers with their phone number, picks a display name, and joins. Everyone gets updates by text, so nobody has to remember to check.
- 5
Make your picks each round
Pick the winner of each match as the round is set. Picks lock as matches are played, so you come back to pick each new round. Backing an underdog pays off if it lands.
- 6
Track the leaderboard
Standings update from official results as matches finish. Correct picks earn more each round as the field narrows, with a bonus for calling an upset. Last one standing takes the bragging rights.
