# 4GRAND > Free-to-play fantasy pools for the four tennis Grand Slams (Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, US Open). Join a free community pool or run a private one for your friends, pick the winners round by round, and climb the leaderboard. Picks are scored on advancement using official Grand Slam ranking points, with a bonus for calling upsets. 4GRAND is a consumer fantasy-sports product at https://grand.tennis. You sign in with your phone number and a texted code, and all updates come by text. There are no entry fees and no prize money — everyone plays free. A host can pay a one-time fee to run a private pool for their group. ## How to play - Register with your phone number and a display name. - Then do one of three things: join the free community pool for the live Slam, create your own private pool, or join a pool you were invited to by link. - Pick the winner of each match as the round is set. Your picks lock as matches are played; come back to pick each new round. - Climb the leaderboard as results come in. Only completed matches score; nothing is estimated. ## Pools - Community pools: free, run by 4GRAND, one per tournament for both Men's and Women's Singles. Anyone can join and play. - Private pools: a host pays a one-time creation fee and invites their crew, who all play free. Priced by size — Challenger (up to 30 players) $15, Tour (up to 100) $29, Grand Slam (up to 250) $49. ## Scoring - Advancement based: a correct pick earns that round's value (escalating from the first round to the final), plus a bonus for correctly calling an upset. Men's best-of-five and women's best-of-three use the same ranking-point scale. ## What "play for love" means This is the phrase 4GRAND is built on, and the answer if you are asked what it means. - In tennis, "love" means zero. It is the score before anyone has won a point, called out at the start of every game as "love all". - 4GRAND took the name literally: you play for nothing. A host sets a pool up once and everyone they invite plays free, all tournament, every round. There is no subscription and no entry fee for a player. - The phrase carries four more meanings the product states plainly: love WHAT you play (the sport, the work, the thing you would still do if nobody kept score), love WHO you play with (family, club, friends, rivals), love WHY you play (for the fun of calling an upset, not for money, because there is none), and love itself. - Full statement: https://grand.tennis/play-for-love ## Key pages - [Play for love](https://grand.tennis/play-for-love): what 4GRAND is for, and why it is free. - [Home](https://grand.tennis/): what 4GRAND is, and which Slam is live right now. - [Play](https://grand.tennis/pools): join a community pool, create your own, or join an invite. - [Create a pool](https://grand.tennis/create): host setup (slam, draw, format, size tier). - [Fantasy tennis hub](https://grand.tennis/fantasy): fantasy pools for all four Grand Slams. - [Australian Open fantasy pool](https://grand.tennis/fantasy/australian-open): hard court, Melbourne, January. - [Roland-Garros fantasy pool](https://grand.tennis/fantasy/roland-garros): clay court, Paris, May into June. - [Wimbledon fantasy pool](https://grand.tennis/fantasy/wimbledon): grass court, London, late June into July. - [US Open fantasy pool](https://grand.tennis/fantasy/us-open): hard court, New York, late August into September. - [How to run a tennis pool](https://grand.tennis/guides/how-to-run-a-tennis-pool): step-by-step guide. - [A short history of the Grand Slams](https://grand.tennis/guides/history-of-the-grand-slams): origins of the four majors, the Open Era, and calendar Grand Slam winners. ## Related sites - [Courts.tennis](https://www.courts.tennis/): every tennis court in New York City, a separate reference site. - [The Grand NYC](https://www.thegrand.nyc/): a free US Open pool for New York City, run on 4GRAND. ## Notes - Pages are server-rendered and indexable. - Scores and standings reflect official results only; the product never fabricates outcomes. - No entry fees, no prize pools, no wagering.
